Flasks & Fisticuffs is a 3D indie game that my team of 5 developed over the course of a semester for “CS6457 – Video Game Design” at Georgia Tech. It is defined as a 3rd-person rogue-lite action role-playing game featuring an explorable world and an alchemy-based crafting system that allows players to create bombs, potions, and oils to enhance their combat abilities. On the team, I served as the UI Designer and Developer.

Game Narrative
You are an alchemy intern trying to get to your initiation ceremony to become a full alchemist, i.e. an Elixorist. You make your way from your base through three heavily fortified areas to the Wizard Tower. Once you reach the top you are teleported to Christmas Town to fight the wizard as a final boss. Upon success, you and the wizard realize that you have arrived a day early for the ceremony (which explains the fortification) and not trying to break in. He is impressed that an intern has been able to fight his way through all the defenses. Thus, you become an Elixorist with improved abilities and are tasked by the wizard to continue testing his defenses which he now sees as vulnerable. Upon death, the player is teleported back to the beginning by the wizard.
